Happy Easter…a day late. We are back from San Antonio and had a fabulous time. I definitely needed the time away. I will fill you in on all the details of the trip when I have a chance to look at our photos and organize my thoughts. For now, though…here are a couple of old finishes that I thought I’d share since I hadn’t before. The first one (above) is from 2002. This is Happy Hoppy Easter from Lizzie Kate. The next one (below) is March Hare, a Limited Edition Whimzi from Just Nan that I stitched last year right around our wedding.

Here is my egg tree and glass bunnies. I need some more egg ornaments, but I like the idea of collecting them individually so that they are all different. I have three hand-painted glass eggs, a cloisonne egg, a paper mache egg, and a feather egg. I’ve been enjoying this little tree from February until now…so glad I purchased it! It is the same tree I had my Valentine Hearts on.

With a five hour or so drive each way to San Antonio, I did take stitching with me to do in the car. I’ve never stitched in the car, so I found it to be a little more difficult than I imagined. Every time I would count over or have my needle in the right hole, we’d hit a bump or something. So, I did almost completely finish my April sheep blanket. The only thing I didn’t finish was the French knots. I wasn’t confident I could do them in the car. So, I will finish that up today probably, and get the finishing done so that you can see it!

After I finished stitching on my sheep blanket, I switched over to my Mystery Sampler. I finished up the first motif and started on a second. By that time, I was losing my light, so I put it away. Today, at lunch I am off to the post office to mail my Biscornu exchange piece for the FGBB and my Just Nan RR. Happy Monday!
I am grateful for my amazing husband.
Glad you had a good break! Your finishes are very cute ๐
Sounds as if you had a wonderful trip! Good for you!!! We all need a get away from time to time ๐
Your tree is once again beautiful with the eggs and the glass bunnies adorable ๐
Your older finishes are gorgeous..I especially like the Just Nan Whimzi!
Your WIPs are coming along fantastic and I’m anxious to see the blankie for the sheep!
Sounds like a relaxing trip. I love that little Whimzi you did last year – very cute! ๐
So glad you had a nice trip ๐
I love your bunny finish ! Adorable ๐ Your other finish is great too and nice progress ๐
Michelle I’m glad you had a great trip! I’ll be looking forward to your sheep blanket and your photos!
love your Easter finishes Michelle- how lovely to show them off, and the tree is wonderful. Sounds like you had a nice time away ๐
I have a difficult time stitching in the car too, for the same reason. There’s usually too much motion, especially on fabric higher than 28 ct!
I love your egg tree!!
How nice that you had a get-away at Easter. I like to stitch in the car but I try to take something that on a larger count, that doesn’t involve a lot of counting, so I can still enjoy the scenery.
Its nice to see your older Easter finishes!
Wow, Michelle, I love your older finishes.
The mystery samplers looks gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing it grow.
I am so glad you had such a nice trip! Getting away sure can help sometimes – Mike and I are thinking a lot about going somewhere soon too – our anniversary is next month. I love those finishes – so cute!
Thanks for visiting my blog!
I have visited your blog before — but never left a comment. I have just started commenting recently! Yes I am doing the satin stitches on the Bay Samapler. I got stuck on the knots for the mermaid hair. I still have to find a milliner needle. Your stitching is beautiful!
Oh, Michelle – I’m glad you two had such a great time on your anniversary ๐ Your finishes are so sweet! Your Easter tree is beautiful.
Michelle,
Love your Easter decorations and finishes! You’ve even made me breathe a sigh of relief!! LOL

Lovely Easter stitching! The LK is one I’d like to attempt one of these years : )
Welcome back from your trip… I usually don’t stitch while riding in the car either. It is just too difficult
